No Money Cheat Exists
Despite what many sites claim, there is no traditional money cheat code in GTA 5. Rockstar deliberately excluded one to preserve the game's economy and drive engagement with GTA Online's Shark Card system. However, the game provides legitimate in-game methods to generate virtually unlimited cash in story mode.
The Assassination Mission Method — Best Overall
Before completing the main story, do NOT complete Lester's assassination missions. After The Big Score (the final major heist), you will have substantial cash across all three characters. Invest everything before each assassination mission — each mission guarantees a specific stock will move. Sell after the move and repeat. Done correctly, each character can earn $200–300 million.

Hotel Assassination: Buy Betta Pharma before, sell after; buy Bilkinton, sell when recovered. Multi-Target: Buy Debonaire before, sell after; buy Redwood (300%+ return). Vice Assassination: Buy Fruit PC before, sell after. Bus Assassination: Wait for Vapid stock to recover after the mission. Construction: Buy Gold Coast before, sell after.
Save Scumming the Stock Market
Save before investing in BAWSAQ or LCN stocks. If the investment fails, reload and try differently. The BAWSAQ is influenced by GTA Online player activity so results vary, but LCN stocks respond predictably to in-game events — making them the more reliable target for this method.
Heist Replays for GTA Online
In GTA Online, the Cayo Perico Heist remains the gold standard — earning $1M+ per hour when optimised. The Fleeca Job, Pacific Standard, and Doomsday Heists all offer consistent payouts with varying time requirements. Heist replays are the fastest legitimate path to GTA Online wealth.
