Business Strategy Overview

GTA Online's business system creates layered passive income — businesses generate money while you play other content. The key to maximising income is identifying which businesses provide the best ROI at their purchase price and managing them efficiently alongside active grinding. Not all businesses are created equal.

S-Tier Businesses

Nightclub (linked full portfolio): $50,000/hour passive when fully upgraded with all 5 technicians linked — the best set-and-forget investment in the game. Acid Lab: ~$340K per full supply sell with efficient management, best active income per time investment. Both require significant upfront investment but pay it back quickly.

A-Tier Businesses

Cocaine Lockup: $74,000/hour when fully upgraded — the best MC business for Nightclub technician value AND standalone operation. Bunker: $210,000+ per supply bar when sold via specialist vehicle, best for players who actively manage resupply. CEO Warehouse (111 crates): $2.2M per full sell — best for organised grinding sessions with a dedicated time commitment.

B-Tier Businesses

Meth Lab and Counterfeit Cash Factory: Moderate standalone income; primarily valuable as Nightclub technician assignments. Vehicle Cargo (high-end cars): $80,000+ per top-range car in filled warehouse — good income but slower pace than current meta options. Motorcycle club drug runs: Adequate for early-game income building.

C-Tier and Avoid

Document Forgery Office and Weed Farm have the worst standalone income ratios in the game. Arcade (standalone): Fine for Doomsday Heist access but generates minimal direct income. Yacht: Purely cosmetic, zero income. Clubhouse businesses (basic biker runs): Too time-intensive for the payout. Buy these only for completion or specific mission access, never as primary income sources.
