Standard Edition Pricing

Based on current-generation gaming pricing and statements from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, GTA 6 will almost certainly launch at $69.99 USD for the standard digital and physical edition. This is the established pricing tier for flagship PS5 and Xbox Series X/S releases from major publishers.

Premium Edition

Rockstar traditionally offers multiple editions for major releases. A Premium Edition (estimated $89.99–$99.99) will likely include: a GTA Online currency bonus (equivalent of several Shark Cards), in-game cosmetics exclusive to buyers, early access of 72 hours before wide release, and additional story content or digital bonuses.

Collector's Edition

A physical Collector's Edition ($149.99–$199.99) is expected for dedicated fans, featuring premium physical merchandise, an art book, exclusive packaging, a steelbook case, and all digital bonuses from the Premium Edition. Pre-production of such editions typically begins 12–18 months before launch.

Will GTA 6 Cost More Than $70?

Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick has discussed the possibility of premium pricing for certain major titles. Given GTA 6's reported $1–2 billion development budget, the company has not ruled out a higher price point. However, most industry analysts expect the standard edition to remain at the established $69.99 tier to maximise adoption.

GTA Online Economy

The multiplayer component (GTA 6 Online) will be free with purchase of the base game, continuing the model established by GTA V. In-game currency purchases (Shark Cards or equivalent) will provide additional revenue. Expect a similar or expanded microtransaction system to GTA Online's current model.
