Beyond the Main Campaign
Grand Theft Auto games are as much about what you do between missions as the missions themselves. GTA 6's Leonida — the largest GTA world ever — is designed to be explored, with side activities woven into every district and environment. These range from casual mini-games in Vice City's entertainment district to genuinely dangerous side mission chains in the Everglades.
Vice City Entertainment
Vice City's urban environment provides access to: casino gambling (poker, slots, roulette at establishments throughout the city), beach volleyball and water sports competitions, nightclub activities with rhythm mini-games, street racing circuits through Vice City's boulevards, and luxury sports experiences tied to the city's wealthy demographic.
Everglades Activities
The swampland environment provides uniquely Florida activities: airboat racing through narrow waterway channels, alligator territory challenges, rural bar activities, and side mission chains involving the criminal networks that operate outside Vice City's spotlight. These zones feel entirely different from urban Vice City content.
World Events
Random world events — encounters that occur organically during open-world exploration — have been significantly expanded. More complex scenarios (armoured car robberies, kidnapping in progress, criminal network ambushes, tourist scams) replace the simpler encounters of previous games. Each event offers unique rewards and contributes to the world's sense of living activity.
Collectibles and Exploration
GTA 6 will contain hidden collectibles spread across Leonida requiring genuine exploration: items on rooftops of skyscrapers, underwater in coastal areas, deep in the Everglades, and hidden within enterable interior spaces. The expanded map and density of interiors makes collectible hunting a substantial secondary activity for completionists.
