Florida Vehicle Culture

The Leonida setting naturally shapes GTA 6's vehicle roster. Luxury sports cars cruise Vice City's beachfront boulevards, airboats navigate the Everglades, speedboats race through coastal waterways, and motorcycles dominate the open highways connecting cities. The Florida setting provides a compelling reason for this specific, diverse vehicle mix.

Confirmed Vehicle Classes

Trailer analysis confirms: supercars and hypercars for Vice City streets, pickup trucks and SUVs for rural Leonida, airboats as a new vehicle class for swamp navigation, motorcycles in both sport and cruiser styles, speedboats and jet skis for coastal play, helicopters for aerial traversal, and commercial vehicles integrated into mission design.

Airboats — New to GTA

The Everglades sequences visible in the trailer confirm airboats as a vehicle class new to the GTA series. These fan-propelled flat-bottomed boats are essential for navigating the shallow swamplands of southern Leonida, adding a gameplay dimension not possible in previous city-focused GTA entries.

Vehicle Customisation

GTA 6's customisation system expands on GTA 5 with more granular engine, body, suspension, and interior options. Dedicated vehicle wrap designers, custom exhaust sounds, and functional modifications that genuinely affect handling characteristics are all expected improvements over GTA 5's Mod Shop system.

Water Vehicles

Given Leonida's extensive coastline and waterways, nautical vehicles play a bigger role in GTA 6 than any previous entry. Rockstar has reportedly improved water physics significantly — making boat handling feel genuinely different from land vehicles and giving maritime gameplay its own distinct feel and strategy.
